If you’ve decided to stay at a privately owned vacation rental home. What about hand soap, and laundry soap? It’s good that you’re asking these questions now, because staying at a privately owned vacation rental home is significantly different than staying at a hotel. Most vacation rental home owners, make sure the basics are there for your arrival, but remember, this is the next best thing to staying in your own home, and who provides the supplies there? You do, of course!

Most likely you’ll be surprised to find food and other supplies that have been left by either the vacation rental home owner or previous guests. It’s also normal to find multiples of some food supplies. You may also find none food items such as bar soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, dish soap, sun block, etc. Many tours are theme related, so choose a theme that everyone in your group will want to participate in. Tour guides have been trained to answer most questions.

Tour groups are located throughout larger cities. Most hotels have a listing of tour companies that are close by. You can research tours online in order to get a better idea of some of the tours that available. If you don’t want to take a bus tour, walking tours are also available. These tours will take you through certain historic neighborhoods and usually center around food, historical events, or time periods. Taking a walking tour is a great way to see smaller neighborhoods and learn more about the city you are visiting.
